Tully Lake
About
Tully Lake is a warm, shallow lake on the border of Cortland and Onondaga counties, near the village of Tully. Its south end lies in Cortland County, where the shore is mostly wild and deer and other wildlife often graze along the edge. The north shore is ringed with colorful lake houses, and a small island sits in the middle.
It’s a pleasant lake for paddling, full of aquatic plants, with water clear enough on calm days to spot fish in the shallows. Largemouth bass, chain pickerel, bluegill, sunfish, black crappie, rock bass, yellow perch and brown bullhead are among the species here. In winter it’s a popular ice fishing spot.
