Tioughnioga Wildlife Management Area
About
Tioughnioga Wildlife Management Area is a 3,600-acre mix of woods and wetlands in Madison County. Gentle trails and plenty of room to wander make it a good place to slow down and watch wildlife, ideally with binoculars in hand. It is a quiet corner of the county for walkers, birders and anyone who likes open space.
Birders come for the songbirds and a green heron rookery, and hunters use the area in season. Next door, Dugway Forest adds more miles of paths, including part of the Link Trail, so a short walk can easily turn into a longer outing.
