The Wild Animal Park
About
The Wild Animal Park, often called The Wild, is a family-favorite zoo in Chittenango, in Madison County. It combines walk-through exhibits with a drive-thru safari, so visitors can get close to animals from around the world, including from the car.
Guided encounters with sloths, otters, giraffes, penguins and more are led by a knowledgeable crew, and seasonal events add reasons to return, from summer programs to fall flashlight safaris. Chittenango is also known as the birthplace of L. Frank Baum, author of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
