The Syracuse Orchestra

About

The Syracuse Orchestra performs as Symphoria, a musician-led cooperative orchestra formed in late 2012 as a nonprofit. It’s one of only two orchestras of its kind in the United States, and the model was designed to be artistically strong, lean in its administration and financially resilient.

The orchestra plays dozens of concerts a year in places like libraries, health care facilities, public parks, churches and museums, as well as its home at the Crouse-Hinds Theater at the Civic Center. Its mission is to engage people across Central New York through orchestral and ensemble performances and through education and outreach programs.
