The Great New York State Fair is a 13-day celebration of agriculture, entertainment, education and technology, held each year at the state fairgrounds just outside Syracuse. It is the oldest and one of the largest state fairs in the country, and it draws visitors from every corner of the state.
Midway rides, concessionaires, exhibits and concerts draw hundreds of thousands of families from all corners of the state, with more than a million visits a year. It has grown into New York’s largest annual event and an end-of-summer tradition.
