Syracuse Jazz Fest
About
The Syracuse Jazz Fest is a free outdoor summer music festival in downtown Syracuse. It was founded in 1982 by jazz presenter Frank Malfitano, ran through 2017, and came back in 2022. It bills itself as the largest free jazz festival in the Northeast, and it fills the city center with live music.
Concerts spread across venues in Armory Square, Hanover Square and Clinton Square, so the whole city center fills with music. Admission to all events is free, and all ages are welcome. Past lineups have featured nationally known headliners.
