Syracuse Children’s Theatre
About
Since 1999, Syracuse Children’s Theatre has been a training ground for young performers across Central New York. It is a not-for-profit organization based in East Syracuse, and its students range from pre-K through 12th grade, so kids can start young and keep going all the way through high school.
The group offers semester-long classes and one- and two-week camps during school breaks, and each program ends with a production at the Carrier Theatre in the Civic Center. Shows are mostly musicals, because in a musical everyone’s contribution counts equally, and kids get to work on acting, dance and song.
