Strong Hearts – Irving Ave
About
Strong Hearts – Irving Ave is a vegan restaurant in downtown Syracuse, built on the ethics of animal, earth and human liberation. It opened in May 2008 and moved one block away in July 2020, when the restaurant relaunched its brand and menu with a fresh look and a new space to match.
The space seats 65 in the main dining room, with outdoor seating when the weather allows. The interior reflects the revival of downtown Syracuse while nodding to the restaurant’s activist roots, and the menu continues to serve the restaurant’s award-winning fare. Joel Capolongo and Nicholas Ryan co-founded and co-own it.
