Ryder Park & Butterfly House is a 12-acre park in East Syracuse, next to the DeWitt Town Hall. It features the James L. Guyette Arboretum, a butterfly garden, a bicycle and exercise trail, a fishing pond and a canoe launch into Butternut Creek. It is a green pocket in the town of DeWitt.

Families will find picnic areas with grills, a playground, tot swings, a picnic shelter and a pavilion with restrooms. The trails are crushed stone and wood chips, suited to walking, jogging and nature observation, and they connect directly to the Erie Canal towpath.
