ROUTE 20 ASSOCIATION of NYS

Route 20 Association of NYS is a group that celebrates the historic villages along Route 20, the old turnpike that crosses Central New York. It is based in Richfield Springs, one of the towns that line the route, and works to keep its character and its story alive.

Along the road, quiet neighborhoods and Main Streets feature Federal and Greek Revival architecture from the turnpike era. Travelers also pass Dutch and English dairy barns, gambrel-roof barns, and the drive-ins and motor courts of the 1930s through the 1950s, all set against tranquil farm fields.
