Paige’s Childhood Cancer Fund
About
Paige’s Childhood Cancer Fund is a Syracuse nonprofit that organizes Paige’s Butterfly Run, an annual 5K held in downtown Syracuse alongside the Taste of Syracuse. The event brings runners and walkers from across Central New York together to raise money for pediatric cancer research and patient programs.
Proceeds support the Dr. William J. Waters Center for Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital in Syracuse. The day is family-friendly, with a USATF-certified 5K, a 3K fitness run or walk, a team division and a caterpillar crawl for kids under five.
What to Know
- The 5K course is USATF certified, and there is a shorter 3K fitness run or walk.
- Little ones under five can join the Caterpillar crawl.
- A Centipede Team Division invites groups to enter the 5K together.
- Paige’s Butterfly Run is a long-running Syracuse tradition, with its 29th event held in 2025.
