Packwood House
About
Packwood House is a lakeside inn in the historic village of Skaneateles, on the north shore of Skaneateles Lake. Built in 2003 on the site of the old Skaneateles Post Office, it is a contemporary retreat with guest suites, many looking out over the lake and the village.
The name honors John Packwood, a successful Skaneateles carriage maker who lived from 1824 to 1890. He was one of the early owners of the Sherwood Inn and renamed it Packwood House in the late 1800s. Every suite today has a kitchenette, a sitting area and a work space.
