Oswego County Humane Society

About

The Oswego County Humane Society was founded in 2000 to promote and strengthen the bond between people and animals. Based in Oswego, it is a local animal welfare organization that serves Oswego County through foster-to-adopt programs, spay and neuter clinics and humane education for people of all ages.

Fostering-to-adoption lets animals spend time in a home on the way to a permanent one, which can be a gentler path for pets and a good test run for families. Spay and neuter clinics help keep the local pet population healthy, and humane education teaches children and adults how to care for animals well.
