Mid Lake Wagyu

About

Raising 100 percent purebred Japanese wagyu cattle is the whole point at Mid Lake Wagyu, a farm in Marathon, in Cortland County. The farm says it would not move forward unless it could do things the right way, without cutting corners. Wagyu is the Japanese beef breed prized for rich marbling.

It is honored to be one of only four farms in the tri-state area raising and selling full-blood wagyu, a rare niche. The farm takes meticulous care of its animals, and shoppers who like to know exactly where their beef comes from will find a story worth hearing.
