Lordsland Preserve
About
Lordsland Preserve is an 80-acre parcel in Cherry Valley owned by The Nature Conservancy. Two trails, each about three-quarters of a mile long, wind through the preserve and its wetlands. It’s a quiet place to walk, watch for birds and enjoy the changing seasons in Otsego County.
The west trail, marked in red, has open views of the beaver ponds and surrounding wetland, with good birding and autumn hiking, and it suits cross-country skiing. The east trail, marked in blue, is steeper. Snowshoeing is another good way to see the preserve in winter.
