Leonard’s Vacuum and Hobby

Leonard’s Vacuum and Hobby is a retail shop in Cortland that, as the name says, covers two very different interests: vacuum cleaners and hobby supplies. It’s an independent local store, the kind of place that fills a niche the big-box stores tend to skip. The mix makes it a bit of a one-of-a-kind shop.

Cortland is the Cortland County seat and home to SUNY Cortland, so a local store for household equipment and hobbies serves a mix of students and longtime residents. Leonard’s is a member of the Cortland Area Chamber of Commerce.
