KR Upholstery
About
Oneonta, in Otsego County, has an upholstery specialist in KR Upholstery. Upholsterers bring tired chairs, sofas and cushions back to life with fresh fabric, new padding and careful stitching, so a beloved piece of furniture can last another decade or two. It is a trade that rewards patience and a steady hand.
Reupholstering is a good alternative to replacing furniture, especially for well-built pieces with sentimental value. In a college town and a region full of older homes, a local upholsterer has plenty of chairs and couches to restore.
