Kellys Meat Market

In Herkimer, the Mohawk Valley village that serves as the seat of Herkimer County, Kellys Meat Market is the place for meat. A market like this is where shoppers go for fresh cuts and the kind of advice a big supermarket case can’t give. The shop keeps the focus on meat, in the tradition of the old-fashioned neighborhood butcher.

Herkimer is known for its Herkimer diamonds, the clear quartz crystals found in the area, and visitors drawn to the diamond mines often pass through town. Locals who like to buy meat from a neighborhood shop find that a market like this adds personal service a chain can’t match.
