Hannum House
About
Hannum House is a five-room bed and breakfast in Skaneateles, set beside the Sherwood Inn with views of and access to Skaneateles Lake. It was recently renamed and transformed into a luxury retreat for guests who want to be steps from both the village and the water.
The house began as the home of Spencer Hannum, who served as president of the Skaneateles Village Board from the 1840s through the 1860s. Later it was the home of businessman and community leader Norman Orlando Shepard, who also served as village president. It has since been added to the National Register of Historic Places.
