General Clinton Canoe Regatta

About

The General Clinton Canoe Regatta is a Memorial Day weekend tradition in Bainbridge, in Chenango County. It is best known for a 70-mile canoe race down the Susquehanna River that starts in Cooperstown and finishes at General Clinton Park, drawing elite paddlers and weekend adventurers alike.

The race is only part of the weekend. General Clinton Park turns into a community celebration with carnival rides, food, vendors, camping and live entertainment, so there is plenty for families to do whether or not they ever pick up a paddle.
