Garden Mentor

Garden Mentor is a small garden and art business in New Hartford, near Utica in Oneida County. It makes hypertufa art such as birdbaths, planters and candleholders, and it also sells gourd birdhouses decorated with hand-painted botanical images. It sits where gardening and handmade art overlap.

Plant lovers can also pick up locally grown annuals, perennials and holiday plants. Garden art rounds things out, with botanical paintings on glass and original art notecards. It is a nice fit for anyone shopping for a gardener or hunting for a handmade gift.
