About
Fort Rickey Discovery Zoo in Rome mixes wild animals with wild playgrounds, and it is built for kids of all ages. Families can feed the deer in the deer feeding area, snuggle baby goats in the Maternity Ward and catch animal shows starring timber wolves, a boa constrictor, a river otter and more.
When the animals have had their turn, children can head to the Wild Creatures Playground to wiggle through a giant ball crawl, race down spiral slides and explore tubes and tunnels. A concession stand covers snacks, and a game called Water Wars cools everyone off with a family battle.
