Dave’s Veggies
About
Dave’s Veggies is a farm stand in a little clapboard barn on the outskirts of Homer, surrounded by sunflowers. It is a paradise for bakers, canners and gardeners, with shelves full of produce grown right on the property. Homer is a village just north of Cortland, so it is an easy drive for locals.
The produce runs from melons, cucumbers and tomatoes to peaches, cherries and rhubarb, ready to become pickles, jams and pies. The blueberries on the hill are available for picking, garlic and onions hang from the eaves to dry, and a greenhouse is overflowing with fig trees. Pots of unique flowers, rare herbs and veggie starts are ready for home gardens too.
