Countryside Credit Union
About
Countryside Credit Union is a credit union in East Syracuse serving Onondaga County. It was chartered in 1941 in Ithaca as the GLF Employee Federal Credit Union, then opened membership to anyone in Onondaga County in 2005. It was founded in the farming community and later served Agway employees.
It later joined forces with Northern Federal Credit Union, which traces its roots to a group of New York Air Brake employees in 1955. In September 2022 the two merged, and a member vote in April 2026 converted them to a Federal Multiple Common Bond Chartered Credit Union so they can serve a broader community.
