Cooperstown Community Christmas Committee

The Cooperstown Community Christmas Committee works each year, in collaboration with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, to give the village a seasonal holiday experience. Decorating Main Street in late November marks the official start of Santa’s season in this small corner of Otsego County. Cooperstown is best known for baseball, but the holidays have a charm all their own.

Santa’s arrival is often a one-day event in late November, with Cooperstown greeting him back to his second home, a cottage in Pioneer Park. Throughout December, Mr. and Mrs. Claus open the cottage for meet-and-greets with visitors. Dates and times shift from year to year, so check the event calendar.
