Cherry Valley Bookstore

About

Used and antiquarian books are the specialty at Cherry Valley Bookstore, an independent shop in historic Cherry Valley, in Otsego County. With more than 15,000 volumes, the collection is expansive and a little eclectic. It is set in a little red building with a past of its own.

Shelves run from local and New York history to children’s books and vintage mysteries. The building may date to the late 18th century, and in 1840 it was Amos Swan’s cabinet shop, where he built cabinetry and melodeons and also served as the local undertaker.
