Chenango Canal Association
About
The Chenango Canal Association is an all-volunteer nonprofit in Bouckville, in Madison County, devoted to caring for the historic Chenango Canal and the waterways and landscapes around it. The canal was a 19th-century route linking Utica and Binghamton. Bouckville is a hamlet known for its antiques shows.
The volunteers preserve canal structures and stories, support research and maintenance, and keep the canal welcoming as a community recreation corridor. It is also a designated year-round trout stream, where only artificial lures are allowed, and part of the National Recreation Trails system.
