Charlotte Valley Historic Inn – B&B and Antiques
About
A fully restored stagecoach stop from 1832 is now the Charlotte Valley Historic Inn, a bed and breakfast and antiques shop in Worcester, in Otsego County. The family-run inn has five bedrooms, each named for one of the early Presidents.
Guests can use the whole house, including the Main Parlour with its fireplace, a Reading Room, a Sunroom and a Dining Room, plus the front porch and grounds with mature trees, wildflowers and lilacs. Antiques furnish the rooms, including a carved Chippendale four-poster bed from about 1780 in the Adams Room.
What to Know
- A full breakfast is served each morning, and the menu changes daily.
- A hammock strung between an old apple tree and a maple tree makes a good spot to unwind.
- The Parlour fireplace and a game of chess are there for quiet evenings.
- The inn sells antiques as well as hosting guests, so it works for antiquing trips too.
- Regional attractions are a short scenic drive away, with open valley views from the grounds.
