Capitol Theatre
About
The Capitol Theatre in Rome, Oneida County, is the centerpiece of the Rome Capitol Arts Complex, a historic 2,500-seat theatre built in 1927. Alongside it, the two-screen Cinema Capitol is Rome’s only independent cinema, so the complex covers both big-stage events and everyday movie nights.
Between the two venues, the complex covers live music, theatre and movies in downtown Rome. The theatre also appears on the Haunted History Trail of New York State, a nod to its long past. Showtimes and events change, so check the schedule before heading out.
