Canal View Cafe

About

Canal View Cafe in Sylvan Beach has been feeding locals and fishermen since 1977, when the family of current owner Jean Tabarrini opened a small seasonal cafe with a counter and six tables. Today it is an 80-seat restaurant with outdoor dining overlooking Oneida Lake and the Erie Barge Canal.

Inside, a classic oak bar pours beer and wine, and the walls hold a big collection of Sylvan Beach memorabilia that is fun to browse between bites. The menu stays casual and affordable, with salads, sandwiches, burgers, seafood, steaks and pasta.
