Brooklyn Pickle – West
About
For decades, Brooklyn Pickle has been Syracuse’s answer to a New York City deli, and the West shop carries that tradition on the city side. Giant overstuffed sandwiches and homemade soups are the calling card, served in a fast-paced, friendly room that tries to recreate the Big Apple experience every day.
The story goes that the business began in a space barely wide enough to hold one of its own sandwiches. Today there are two Brooklyn Pickle shops, and locals treat them as lunchtime landmarks, with visitors dropping in too. The soups have picked up awards along the way.
