Betty & Wilbur Davis State Park
About
Betty and Wilbur Davis State Park sits atop a hill near Schenevus in southern Otsego County, with spectacular views to the south and west. The 229-acre park is nearly two-thirds hardwood forest, with smaller stands of conifers, gently rolling meadows and two ponds, a pleasant mix of woods and open land.
Birdwatchers and other nature lovers count it as a favorite. Visitors can hike an extensive trail network, fish the two catch-and-release ponds, stay in one of six fully furnished cabins year-round and, in winter, ski, snowshoe or snowmobile.
What to Know
- Six furnished cabins have linens and fully equipped kitchens, and are available year-round at seasonal rates.

- Both of the park’s ponds are catch and release for anglers.
- Winter activities include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobile trails connected to the state corridor trail system.
