Beaver Creek State Forest is a big stretch of public woodland near West Edmeston in Madison County. It covers 3,484 acres of rolling hardwoods and forms part of the northern Brookfield Trail System, which makes it a handy base for a long day outdoors in any season.

More than 25 miles of trails are open for hiking, horseback riding, snowmobiling, mountain biking and cross-country skiing, depending on the season.
