About
Baltimore Woods Nature Center has been part of the Central New York community since 1966, with 182 acres of land in Marcellus for hiking, learning and play. It’s a place where families and school groups connect with the outdoors close to Syracuse. The center describes its approach as putting nature in your hands.
The center’s mission is to foster lasting stewardship of the natural world through environmental education, recreation, play and research. Visitors come from the surrounding area to hike the trails and take part in nature day camps, public programs and fundraising events.
