The Upland Interpretive Center at Thayer Farm is a research and education property in Hartwick, in Otsego County. The 256-acre farm was established by William Thayer (1775-1861) and was donated to the Biological Field Station by Rufus Thayer, with research and education as its purpose.

The property has lakefront on Otsego Lake, a boat house, trails and many acres of mature woodlands, and more than 80 acres are in active agriculture. The farm’s buildings are meant to serve student and faculty work in research and education.
