The Plaid Farm Store

About

The Plaid Farm Store is a self-serve farm stand in Amsterdam, in the Mohawk Valley. It was founded by Erika Gogis, a second-generation farmer, with the goal of linking neighbors to food from nearby farms and small businesses. Shoppers help themselves and pay on the honor system.

The stand carries local beef, pork, chicken, lamb and turkey, plus creamline milk, yogurt, cheese and eggs. There are baked goods such as bagels, pies and cookies, seasonal fruits and vegetables, and specialty items including honey, maple syrup, goat milk soap and coffee. Everything comes from local producers.
