Syracuse Housing Authority

Syracuse Housing Authority exists to provide quality, safe and affordable housing, and to create opportunities for residents to become self-sufficient and economically independent. It is a public housing agency serving the city of Syracuse, with an eye on helping residents build stable lives and strong communities.

The authority owns and manages 14 housing developments with more than 2,500 apartments for low-income residents. Just over half are designed for older adults or people with disabilities, with the rest set aside for families. It also runs a housing choice voucher program that subsidizes rent for thousands of families who live in private apartments.
