Syracuse City Ballet
About
Syracuse City Ballet, described in its own materials as Upstate NY Ballet, was founded in 1997 by Artistic Director Kathleen Rathbun. It is a regional ballet company that offers family entertainment and dance education outreach in the Syracuse area, with a repertoire built on well-loved story ballets.
The company performs at the Mulroy Civic Center, sometimes with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, and has danced classics including Cinderella, Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty. Family-friendly classics like these make a good first ballet for kids and a treat for longtime fans.
