Sylvan Beach Amusement Park
About
On the eastern shore of Oneida Lake, Sylvan Beach Amusement Park is a traditional amusement park with a blast-from-the-past feel and a few modern thrills. The park is open from May through September, and admission to the park is free every day, so it is easy to stop in for an hour or settle in for an afternoon.
About 25 rides fill the grounds, including the Galaxi roller coaster and the newer Super Himalaya. For slower fun there is mini golf, arcade and midway games and a gift shop. Yesterday’s Royal overlooks Oneida Lake and the Erie Canal, serving family cuisine and homemade ice cream, with live shows and events.
