SUNY Oswego Music Department
About
The SUNY Oswego Music Department is the music program at SUNY Oswego, accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. Its approach is hands-on, with plenty of opportunities to learn and perform for music majors and non-majors alike, with room for beginners as well as experienced players.
The program has four parts: music history and literature, music theory, applied studio study and ensemble performance. Students can learn to play an instrument, join performing groups or take theory and literature courses, and the public can attend concerts presented throughout the year.
