The Cortland Red Dragons are the intercollegiate athletic teams of SUNY Cortland, with 23 teams in all, competing across a mix of fall, winter and spring sports. Their sports include men’s and women’s basketball, cross country, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, swimming and diving, and track and field.
College athletics give Cortland a reason to gather, on a gym floor on a winter night or on a field on a fall Saturday. Games are a chance for students, alumni and local fans to cheer together, and the schedules run across the school year in several sports.
