South Broad Mercantile

South Broad Mercantile is a shop in Norwich, the Chenango County seat. The name nods to the old-fashioned mercantile, a store that sells a bit of everything, and the business is part of the city’s downtown retail scene, where independent shops serve both residents and visitors.

Independent shops give a small city its character, and Norwich has a traditional downtown for them to operate in. South Broad Mercantile is featured by the Norwich Business Improvement District, the group that promotes the city’s downtown businesses.
