Son of a Gun Sportfishing

Son of a Gun Sportfishing runs fishing charters out of Oswego, on the southeastern shore of Lake Ontario. The boat is a rugged 40-foot Jersey sportfisherman, built heavy at about 28,000 pounds with a 14.5-foot beam to flatten waves and stay steady when the weather turns.

Inside, the salon has heat, air conditioning, a TV, stereo and an L-shaped leather sofa, with a dinette and a fully equipped galley forward. The cockpit gives anglers 110 square feet to work in, and the boat carries modern navigation and fish-finding gear along with Shimano rods and reels, Gamma line and Big Jon downriggers.
