Sandy Island Beach State Park
About
Sandy Island Beach State Park is a New York State park on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario, in Sandy Creek, Oswego County. Its highlight is a natural sandy beach about 1,500 feet long, with the big lake stretching out in front of it and dunes and wetlands close by.
The park sits near the southern end of a notable 17-mile stretch of sandy shoreline, coastal dunes and wetlands known as the Eastern Lake Ontario Dunes and Wetlands. A pavilion and a community room, each able to hold 50 or 60 people, make it a possible spot for group gatherings.
