The Richardson-Bates House Museum is an 1867 Victorian mansion in Oswego that gives a close look at how a wealthy and prominent local family lived. It is on the National Register of Historic Places, and it remains one of the most intact house museums in New York State.

More than 90 percent of the original Victorian-era furnishings are still in place, and the opulent interior reflects the 19th-century tastes of residents who were fascinated by art, culture, education and history. The house also holds an extensive archive and exhibit space documenting the history of Oswego County.
