ProLiteracy

ProLiteracy is a nonprofit based in Syracuse with a worldwide mission: advancing adult literacy and education. It supports a network of community-based programs that help adults build skills in reading, writing, math and digital technology, so the work reaches learners in many places beyond the city.

The organization also takes on the bigger picture through advocacy, training and resources, and it works to remove the systemic barriers that keep adults from learning. Its guiding belief is that literacy is a human right and a foundation for social change, and it promotes lifelong learning and economic and social advancement.
