Pratt’s Falls County Park
About
Pratt’s Falls County Park is a scenic park in Pompey, in the hills southeast of Syracuse. Trails lead to a 137-foot waterfall, and the setting invites visitors to pack a picnic basket and bring a sense of adventure for an afternoon outdoors in the Onondaga County hills.
The falls are a geological wonder formed by retreating glaciers, and the spot was the site of Onondaga County’s first mill operation in 1796. Beyond hiking and picnicking, the park is popular for archery. Mountain biking is not permitted.
