Owera Vineyards is a farm winery at the northeast corner of Cazenovia Lake in Madison County. The 57-acre property mixes working farmland with places for visitors: a rustic, chic tasting room, apple orchards, a garden and an event facility, all set in the rolling country around the lake.
The newest plantings cover about three acres of La Crescent and Frontenac, cold-hardy grape varieties suited to Upstate New York winters. With a tasting room for sipping and an event space for larger gatherings, it is a pretty spot for a glass of wine and a long look at the countryside.
