Oswego Cinema 7

About

Oswego Cinema 7 is the movie theater in Oswego, a long-running local spot that began life as the Oswego Theatre. The building was constructed in 1940 and opened on January 22, 1941, and it still shows films for the lakeside city today, now across more screens than its first audiences ever imagined.

Over the years the original theater was split into seven screens, and the seating in most of the auditoriums has been upgraded to reclining chairs. The theater is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, so a night at the movies comes with a little local history.
