On Point for College – Utica

On Point for College is a nonprofit that helps low-income, inner-city youth from Syracuse through the college enrollment process. It works through partner sites, including Boys & Girls Clubs, the Southwest Community Center and Catholic Charities centers. The goal is to make higher education reachable for students who might otherwise get lost in the paperwork.

Applying to college can be confusing for students whose families are new to the process, with applications, financial aid forms and deadlines to manage. A program that meets young people where they already spend time, at clubs and community centers, makes that path more approachable.
